1) My most successful artwork would have to be the drawing I created for our Home theme. This is because I as if I got more of an appealing look out of it and that overall, I didn't have to redo any aspect of it multiple times until I felt I had got it right. Plus, I just really admire the mantle I created for the snow globe. the color mixture was outstanding in my opinion. 2)The project where I believe I overcame the most obstacles was the drawing I created for our theme of Environment. My reasoning behind this is because of all the texturing that had to go into it to make certain parts of the piece stand out over others, such giving the statue a rusty look due to the overall underwater background of the entire project. 3) The two projects I believe have shown my current growth as an artist would have to be the drawing I created for our first theme of the year known as Man and Machine; and my Home art piece. I consider my first ever themed drawing to be a large improvement on how I used to draw, for normally, my drawings always turned out distorted or misshapen. This shows that when I give it enough attention, my drawings can have improved features. The second drawing overall is a grand transition from my first drawing, for I've improved in mixing colors and giving objects proper shading and dimensions. 4)The new method of teaching that has been introduced has worked wonders for me. I felt that I could really shine by utilizing my own ideas and expressing my creativity through what I believe what was best for the specific theme given to us. It helped that regardless of receiving crash courses on new techniques of art, that I could go back go to something as simple as cross-hatching or pointillism; that I had no restriction to the materials that I could use for my work. |
