Artists communicate through their workFor my current topic Environment, I decided that since it had been close to Halloween, I had wanted to create my own dark environment of sorts. Making up a list of scary classic games off the top of my head, I decided to go with The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Ergo, the Skull Kid, the main antagonist of the game, is a part of the centerpiece of my painting. Considering his pose in the picture I found, I decided to have it seem as if he were balancing on something. In the game, the main hub area you travel through is known as Clock Town, so I decided to use a stencil of Big Ben I found online as a part of my artwork. Artists ReflectCurrently, my painting is not finished. However, I've received positive comments about my blending with oil pastels. I simply blended together Prussian and Cobalt Blue with a small amount of white to give my background that deep sea aesthetic. Now, all I need to do is give the Skull Kid and the clock some sort of color and all will be well. Although, I feel like I could have been more accurate with my usage of pastes, for there are a small amount of unwanted blue smudges on my centerpiece.
