Part A: Artists Tell Stories Diagram
For countless years, mankind has been weaving fables. Whether they're written to keep children in line or to simply share tales of past accomplishments, stories have been serving as lessons for those of us that are a part of their future audiences. However, like any good story, there's almost always some sort of twist along the way. For Egyptians and their Book of the Dead, tomb raiders have salvaged the various versions of these guidebooks to the afterlife and have sold them for profit, piece by piece. This can bring a story to the brink of ruin, the missing pieces forever lost to time and weathering. However, this can also spark interest in an audience, sending them out over the world to search for the truth, for what's missing, aiding in the artists quest to leave behind a legacy for others to admire.
Part B: Tracy Chevalier - Finding the Story Inside the Painting

Even more so, I've been giving my own spin on a story that has been retold for ages, whether it is through a painting or drawing.
