Artists Observe
For this theme of Observation, I've chosen to cover stargazing. The past few nights, I've gone out at the stroke of midnight to view the sky, hoping to catch of a glimpse of any stars. Wednesday night, I was able to visualize one of the Dipper constellations among the foggy clouds, seeing the lines that connected the stars. Thursday night, not a single star was visible. However, I was able to get a better understanding of how the clouds looked during the night. I hope to have more successful findings in the near future.
Artists Reflect
In hindsight, it might've been better for me to go stargazing at an earlier time than midnight, for more stars could be visible that way. Although, I plan to still stick to the time I started out with. Having an excuse to go out and look up at the night sky for a few minutes is very relaxing. If anything, I hope to somehow incorporate the "seeing" portion of Observation into my artwork. I definitely hope to give this theme my all!
